TOPIC:
Action Lab for Development grew out of an existing social enterprise called Tobby Vision Computers (TVC) – a technical and vocational training school, founded in 2002. Action Lab for Development empowered students and staff to “think big” on many topics leveraging ideas from design thinking and social entrepreneurship.
PROJECT SUMMARY:
Action Lab for Development supported, educated, mentored, and promoted local initiatives to nurture ideas and bring them to reality in a scalable form.
To further pursue social entrepreneurship initiatives, Action Lab for Development worked with experteer such as Janek Andre, a serial entrepreneur who wanted to give back what he has learned from building innovative businesses.
RESULTS:
Janek Andre trained 21 members of the local Action Lab for Development team on business topics ranging from business modeling to operational topics such as marketing, sales, value chain management, and personal planning.
Cornelius Tawong, Action Lab for Development President, applauded what Janek Andre has contributed to the team by building up the skills of 21 trainees and 200 academic students. The investment will continue to have a positive impact in the community.
